Before you choose: how to pick the right product, prepare the surface and what to expect once it is on.

Concrete that has set on a mixer paddle, a mould or a tipper body stops being a cosmetic problem the moment it starts changing the shape of the tool. The growing layer cuts drum capacity, jams mould locks and speeds up corrosion underneath. So equipment needs different chemistry from surfaces: for metal, moulds and tools, where lacquer, rubber and seals are often more sensitive than concrete.

Concrete mixer and mould cleaner

GTN works in two modes. Applied before a production run it makes it harder for concrete to stick to the equipment, and applied after a shift it dissolves and softens the deposit overnight, so it washes off with water in the morning. Use it on mixers, batching plant, moulds, formwork and tools.

Concrete residue and cement laitance remover

GTR Premium removes concrete and cement residue together with oils and grease. It leaves metal, seals, lacquer, glass, plastic, rubber and paint untouched, so you can wash a whole machine with it rather than single parts. For the thin film of everyday work there is GTL, made for regular removal of cement laitance, cement and lime.

Bitumen and asphalt remover

Bitumen, asphalt and tar need a solvent, not an acid or an alkali. GBR softens dried-on deposits, so you do not have to scrape them off dry. It suits equipment and vehicles from road works: truck bodies, screeds, tools and undercarriage parts.

Anti-corrosion protection for downtime

GT VG Max does not clean - it protects. Once dry it leaves a water-beading film on metal that protects equipment stored or transported in harsh surroundings. Use it at the end of a season or before despatch.

Wash equipment at the end of the shift

Every product takes longer to work the older the layer is. A fresh deposit washed off at the end of the day costs a fraction of chipping off a bonded layer a week later, and does not risk damaging the surface underneath. Before you start, check in the technical data that your material is on the list of substrates - aluminium, painted metal and galvanised surfaces are sometimes excluded. Questions before you choose

Can I use these products on block paving?

No. These products are formulated for metal and equipment, not for absorbent mineral substrates. For block paving and other surfaces, choose products from "Cleaning and restoration".

Does the product need neutralising after rinsing?

Not always. Products that need none say so in their technical data. If you cannot find that information there, write to us and we will tell you how to finish the job.

Are these corrosive substances?

GTN and GTL are not classified as corrosive, and GTL is labelled as irritant - that sets them apart from classic acidic mixer cleaners. You can check the classification of each product in its safety data sheet. Always wear gloves and eye protection.
