It is a choice of finish, not of effectiveness. The wet look deepens the colour of the surface; the colourless one leaves it unchanged.

How much will I need?

It depends on how much the surface drinks and how the preparation is applied. Every product carries a price per litre, and where the manufacturer states coverage, an indicative cost per square metre as well.
