Lowers the water uptake of facades - render, brick, stone and concrete - and gently deepens their natural colour, while the wall stays vapour-permeable. Apply this single-component, water-based silane-siloxane sealer from the bottom upwards.
Concrete and floorsEH-16 is a facade sealer that, besides making the wall water-repellent, gently deepens its natural colour. On old brick and stone that is usually the wanted effect - the surface looks refreshed without a colour being laid on it.
The product meets the requirements of PN-EN 1504-2 for water-repellent impregnation, in penetration depth class I.
It is water-based, so the wall keeps its vapour permeability. Apply it working upwards. Drying 2-4 hours at 20 °C.
Stone forgives less than concrete. An acidic cleaner used on marble or travertine will etch the surface irreversibly, and excess sealer on a polish leaves a smear that can no longer be removed.
After sealing, polished stone usually stays out of use for 72 hours.
Before sealing the whole area, test on a patch hidden by a planter or in a corner of the patio. The same product can read differently on two batches of the same material, and on a surface with old coating left on it, it will not bond at all.
Not always. Marble is soft and sensitive to acids, granite is not, so the product has to match the type of stone. Before you buy, check that marble is on the list of recommended substrates.
With cleaning products of the right pH. For the polished-stone range that is usually pH 5-9 for the invisible versions, and a wider range for the wet-look ones. You will find the range for your product in its technical data.
It helps, though not in every case. It limits the ingress of water and the compounds dissolved in it, including those that discolour stone from below. It will not stop processes inside the stone itself, or rust from fixings.
Gently - it refreshes the colour rather than changing it. The effect is more pronounced on absorbent and darker materials; on pale render it can be barely noticeable. A test patch on the wall will show you in a quarter of an hour.
Product running down a dry wall soaks in unevenly and leaves a streak. Working from the bottom means the run is over a surface that is already saturated and will not take it.
Yes - on mineral, cement and mixed renders, as well as on brick, stone and concrete.
