A single-component water-based silane and siloxane sealer for facades, render, brick, stone and concrete. It lowers water uptake and gently deepens the natural colour of the substrate while the wall stays vapour-permeable.

EH-16 is a facade sealer that, besides making the wall water-repellent, gently deepens its natural colour. On old brick and stone that is usually the wanted effect - the surface looks refreshed without a colour being laid on it.
The product meets the requirements of PN-EN 1504-2 for water-repellent impregnation, in penetration depth class I. It is one of the few items in the catalogue with a standard cited on its data sheet.
The base is water, so the wall keeps its vapour permeability. It is applied working upwards - product running down a dry wall leaves a mark that cannot be evened out. Drying 2-4 hours at 20 °C. Also available as a concentrate.
Stone forgives less than concrete. An acidic cleaner used on marble or travertine will etch the surface irreversibly, and excess sealer on a polish leaves a smear that can no longer be removed.
After sealing polished stone, manufacturers require the surface to stay out of use, usually for 72 hours. The exact figure is under "Technical data".
Before sealing the whole area, test on a patch hidden by a planter or in a corner of the patio. The same product can read differently on two batches of the same material, and on a surface with old coating left on it, it will not bond at all.
Chemistry and finish. The -1 versions are single-component, siloxane-based and dry colourless. The -2 versions also contain modified silanes and deepen the colour for a wet-stone effect. Protection against water is the job of the product in both cases; what separates them is the finish.
Do not assume so. Marble is soft and sensitive to acids, granite is not - the manufacturer states the stone in the product's intended use, and our categories follow that. Every product lists its recommended substrates in the technical data.
Manufacturers of the polished-stone range state a permitted pH range for cleaning products - usually pH 5-9 for the invisible versions and wider for the wet-look ones. The figure for each product is under "Technical data".
It limits the ingress of water and the compounds dissolved in it, including those that discolour stone from below. It will not stop processes inside the stone itself, or rust from fixings.
The manufacturer uses the word "gently". The effect is more pronounced on absorbent and darker materials; on pale render it can be barely noticeable. A test patch on the wall settles it in a quarter of an hour.
Product running down a dry wall soaks in unevenly and leaves a streak. Working from the bottom means the run is over a surface that is already saturated and will not take it.
