CTS Chemistry - sealers and cleaners

CTS Chemistry is a Polish manufacturer of professional chemistry for protecting and cleaning mineral surfaces - from paving and patio slabs to polished granite and marble. Every series is precisely matched to its substrate.

The letter is the substrate
H and V - siloxane products for absorbent materials. S - for polished stone. C, D, OL, R - cleaning and anti-slip.
The number is the finish
-1 leaves the colour alone. -2 deepens it for a wet-look finish.

Reading the codes

  • HK, HBP, HG, HP - siloxane sealers for absorbent materials: paving, patio slabs, flamed granite, sandstone. Applied to saturation.
  • VB, VBe, VC, VD, VP - the same siloxane chemistry, matched to walls, split-face units, brick, roof tiles and sandstone facades.
  • SG, SM, ST, SK - solvent-based products with high penetration, for polished stone and for paving. Applied in one coat and polished.
  • C and D - cleaners. The C range is for routine washing, the D range for very heavy soiling that routine washing will not shift.
  • OL and R - an oil stain remover and anti-slip treatments for tiles.

The number at the end

Most of the sealers come in pairs. -1 is single-component and colourless, -2 is multi-component and deepens the colour. The effect cannot be undone once dry - start with a test on a small, inconspicuous area.

CTS Chemistry documents its products in exceptional detail: density, pH, penetration depth, water absorption coefficient and alkali resistance, each with the standard it was measured to. We give all of these values in the technical data of every product.

Questions before you choose

How much H or V siloxane sealer do I need?

As much as the substrate will take - the product is applied to saturation and the absorbency of the material decides consumption. The simplest way to work it out is a test: seal one square metre, note how much you used and multiply by the area of the whole surface.

How does the S range differ from the H range?

Chemistry and intended use. H are water-based siloxane products for absorbent materials. S are solvent-based products with high penetration, for polished stone, where an ordinary sealer has no pores to enter.

Does the S range need ventilation?

Yes. These are solvent-based products, so make sure there is good ventilation during application and for 72 hours afterwards.
