Facades and roofsC-11D is an alkaline concentrate made for roof tiles alone - clay and concrete. It removes years of mineral and organic soiling of fatty origin, soot, wax, honeydew and leaf marks, as well as algae, fungus and moss growth.
You can wash by hand - with a sprayer, foam lance, brush or mop - or with a pressure washer, which needs only 10-20 ml of product per litre of water. One rule always applies: the surface must not be warm, so work in the morning or the evening.
The product foams lightly. Leave it for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with clean water, ideally under high pressure. Match the dilution to how soiled the roof is, using the ratios in the technical data.
On a facade the order of work matters as much as the product itself: a sealer applied over live algae seals them in.

Before treating the whole wall, test on an inconspicuous patch, behind a downpipe for instance. The same product can read differently on two batches of the same material, and on a surface with old coating left on it, it will not bond at all.
No. Water-repellent products limit the ingress of water from outside but leave the pores open to water-vapour diffusion, so the wall can still release moisture.
Wash it off first with a product for organic soiling, rinse thoroughly and let the wall dry, then seal. Sealing without washing traps the growth under the treatment.
Yes - choose a product with roof tiles on its list of recommended substrates. Before sealing, wash them while the surface is cool - early or late in the day, never in full sun - and let them dry.
No - that is not a sealer's job. It acts on the water uptake of the surface, not on heat transfer through the structure.
A 1:4 dilution means one part product to four parts water - a litre of concentrate gives five litres of working solution. Where the ratio is given in ml per litre of water (the C range), work the other way: 50 ml per litre means 20 litres of solution from one litre of concentrate.
Yes. For a pressure washer, dilute C-11D at 10-20 ml per litre of water. Work from the top down, with the lie of the tiles, and never aim the jet up under the overlaps - that way you will not drive water beneath the covering.
Once it is rinsed and dry, seal the covering - for clay and concrete roof tiles use VD-1, which offers no resistance to water vapour (Sd = 0.0 m).
Not always - the product works on the surface. Remove moss rooted in a joint or in a damaged tile mechanically before washing, and repair the damage.
