Limits the ingress of graffiti, oils, grease, water and weak acids into marble, polished granite and porcelain. Once applied, the concentrated sealer stays colourless, forms no film and is UV resistant - the surface looks just as it did before treatment.
Natural stoneThe concentrated version of the MG range, for materials of low and very low porosity: marble, polished granite and porcelain. It protects against water, oils, grease and weak acids, and also against graffiti.
What separates it from the Eco version is concentration and scope: MG is concentrated and also protects against graffiti, while Eco is water-based, solvent-free and, according to the manufacturer, carries food-contact approval.
The product is colourless and forms no film - the material stays permeable to air and water vapour, and the treatment does not yellow with age (manufacturer's data).
Stone forgives less than concrete. An acidic cleaner used on marble or travertine will etch the surface irreversibly, and excess sealer on a polish leaves a smear that can no longer be removed.
After sealing, polished stone usually stays out of use for 72 hours.
Before sealing the whole area, test on a patch hidden by a planter or in a corner of the patio. The same product can read differently on two batches of the same material, and on a surface with old coating left on it, it will not bond at all.
Not always. Marble is soft and sensitive to acids, granite is not, so the product has to match the type of stone. Before you buy, check that marble is on the list of recommended substrates.
With cleaning products of the right pH. For the polished-stone range that is usually pH 5-9 for the invisible versions, and a wider range for the wet-look ones. You will find the range for your product in its technical data.
It helps, though not in every case. It limits the ingress of water and the compounds dissolved in it, including those that discolour stone from below. It will not stop processes inside the stone itself, or rust from fixings.
Materials of low and very low porosity, including polished ones. For absorbent stone - sandstone, travertine, limestone - the right products are the siloxane sealers applied to saturation.
No - the product is colourless and does not change the appearance or character of the material. As with any sealer on polished stone, lift the excess before it dries.
